WHO IS THIS FOR?

For people who may be feeling ‘stuck’ in life, perhaps unsure of where they are, how they got there, or where they want to be. This may be because life events have got in the way, life hasn’t happened as they might have expected or hoped for, or they haven’t stopped to truly consider what they want.

These sessions are for people wishing to move forwards towards a more meaningful life of purpose and aligned with their own values.

What do sessions look like?

Sessions will be held in a small group of 5 to 8 people. There will be 8 weekly sessions in total, each session lasting 1.5 hours. It will be a space for self-reflection and guided exploration as you’re supported to gain clarity, explore your values and what’s important to you, to move towards being more present, and to take committed action.

Sessions take an Acceptance and Commitment Therapy / Training (ACT) approach, which involves mindfulness, active meditation exercises, and experiential exercises to help explore what matters to you and the life you would like to move towards. It also takes an action-oriented approach, aimed to empower you to embrace experiences, make meaningful choices, and to take steps towards a fulfilling and more meaningful life aligned with your values and what matters to you.

Coaching sessions for individuals can focus on one of two principal areas:

For individuals who may become caught up in their thoughts, experience stress and have poor sleep. Or for individuals who may be feeling ‘stuck’ in life, perhaps unsure of where they are, how they got there, or where they want to be. This may be because life events have got in the way, life hasn’t happened as they might have expected or hoped for, or they haven’t stopped to truly consider what they want. These sessions are for people wishing to move forwards towards reduced stress, a more meaningful life and improved quality of life.

What do sessions look like?

In the initial session, we will establish some achievable personal goals. Sessions will offer practical strategies and resources as well as a space for reflection and guided exploration and discovery as you’re supported to move towards being more present, reduce stress, improve resilience, and to connect with what really matters to you.

Approaches draw upon Acceptance and Commitment Training, Motivational Interviewing and Positive Psychology. They involve mindfulness exercises to connect with the present and active meditation and visualisation exercises to gain clarity about what is important to you, as well as to support improved self-belief. Out time together will raise insights, and create motivation. The aim is to empower you to take committed action and purposeful steps towards your goals to move towards an improved quality of life.

I offer a bespoke approach providing individualised support. I draw on strategies and approaches as needed depending on the individual, challenges and barriers getting in the way, and the goals to be achieved.
